Waiakea water has grown 4000% since it has been launched in 2012. Ryan Emmons was 22 at the time. Waiakea Hawaiian Volcanic Water has an annual growth of 170%. The company sells 122,400 cases of the Waiakea springs water a year.

According to Ladisco, Waiakea Water is valued at $10 million. Waiakea Hawaiian Volcanic Water comes from one the purest places in the world. The water comes from the rain and the snowmelt that is on the Mauna Loa volcano. As the water is passing through the volcanic rock, it becomes enriched with mineral, which makes it an electrolyte water.

One such career is that of mobile developers. A significant part of the world’s population has a smartphone, and that number is growing constantly. Flavio Maluf says that customer experience professionals should also be well versed in sales. Digital marketing is another important area. Flavio Maluf is a Brazilian entrepreneur and mechanical engineer. He graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation. He is also the president of Eucatex and Grandfood group. Eucatex Group is a company that was established in 1951. It has interests ranging from civil engineering to the toy industry. Eucatex has three main branches: a plates, paints and varnishes operation in Salto, a panels and floors factory in Botucatu and a forestry unit that also operates a seedling nursery. The company is also well known for creating sustainable furniture from their 44000 hectare farm in Sao Paulo.

Anthony Petrollo: Born To Lead

Anthony Petrollo: Born To LeadAnthony “Tony” Petrollo truly embodies the American Dream: born in working-class Newark, New Jersey, the math whiz went on to get his MS and BS from Yale, and his JD from Harvard Law School. His annual salary is over $25 million.

Tony’s college roommate, Lloyd Grove, wrote an article in the Daily Beast expressing amazement that the “Italian-American extrovert” he knew in 1972 is now one of the highest paid men in America.

Mr. Petrollo has been the CEO and Chairman of Nabors Industries Ltd. since 2011, and has served as its president since 1992. Nabors Industries manages a land-based drilling rig fleet and also provides offshore rigs to the US and countries around the world.

But Mr. Petrollo’s leadership isn’t just limited to industry. He serves on the Board of Trustees at Texas Children’s Hospital, and leads fundraising efforts for the hospital’s Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute. His philanthropic commitment stems from a family struggle: when she was born, his daughter, Carena, was born with periventricular leukomalacia (PVL), and consequently developed cerebral palsy.

Carena is now able to eat solid foods, but Mr. Petrello and his wife, Cynthia, are personally committed to finding a cure so that Carena and other children like her will be able to meet their full potential. The Neurological Research Institute is the first of its kind devoted exclusively to research on children’s neurological disorders.

Mr. Petrollo’s story is an inspiring reminder that with a combination of luck and hard work, anyone can make a difference.


Who is Thor Halvorssen?

Born ThorLeonardo Halvorssen Mendoza, but going simply by Thor Halvorssen, entered the world in 1976. He hails from Venezuela, a country in turmoil that influenced him at a young age and drove him to become the strong human rights advocate he is today.

Halvorssen is a film producer, founder of the Oslo Freedom Forum, the Patron of On Own Feet, Founder of the Ming Picture Institute, and president of the Human Rights Foundation. Halvorssen also contributes to numerous written publications to help spread his message of human rights and the fight he is waging for them around the world.

Halvorssen saw his father, Thor Halvorssen Hellum, go from a well respected employee of the Venezuelan government under the administration of Carlos Andres Perez, to a tortured and imprisoned man on false charges claiming terrorism due to investigating the Medellin Cartel. Halvorssen led the charge along with help from Amnesty International to get his farther released from prison. Nearly a decade later, Halvorssen once again witnessed the unfair evils imposed on people living under an unfair rule when his mother was shot while peacefully protesting against of the 2004 recall referendum in Venezuela. She lived, but Halvorssen was quick to spread the word through print and a video of the incident that showed the Venezuelan government security firing into the crowd of peaceful protesters.

Armed with personal experience and knowledge, Halvorssen created the Human Rights Foundation. He used it as a platform to spread help and awareness internationally about the many violations that happen everyday. He lobbied to have Liu Xiaobo, a political prisoner locked up in China, released in 2010, frequently speaks out against Uganda president Yoweri Museveni and the country’s efforts to punish homosexuality by death, and has spoken out against numerous American Lawmakers including Republican Jack Kemp and Democrats John Conyers and Jose Serrano.

Halvorssen has also used the gift of film to help spread awareness and his message. He co-produced “Freedom’s Fury”, a film about the uprising against Hungary’s dictatorship in 1956,as well as the films “Hammer & Tickle”, “Indoctrinate U”, and “The Singing Revolution”.

Along with his many achievements and battles, Halvorssen has received numerous recognitions. His list of awards include the Sol Feinstone Award from University of Pennsylvania for protecting Student Speech, and a presidential silver medal from the 2010 Romanian leader to commemorate the anniversary of the Romanian Revolution and recognize the work Halvorssen has done to fight for freedoms.

Bruce Levenson’s Sale Of The Hawks And Conflict With AIG Insurance

Bruce Levenson recently scored a profit with the sale of the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks. Levenson sold his shares of the Atlanta Hawks for about $730 million in the middle of 2015 after owning the team for about 12 years, but after the sale was completed, he and AHBE became involved in a dispute with their former insurance company. The team’s former General Manager, Danny Ferry had filed a claim with the insurance company regarding a workplace incident, and according to his attorneys the insurance company was obligated to offer the payout. But they have not done so and Levenson and AHBE are now taking them to court for damages caused as a result.

Bruce Levenson has been both a majority owner of the Atlanta Hawks as well as their representative on the NBA’s Board of Governors. He has an extensive background in journalism and business, as well as a J.D. from American University’s law school though he has never practiced law. He founded Unified Communications Group (UCG), a company that started in his own home after he and his business partner Ed Peskowitz started printing Oil Express, an oil industry publication. UCG has acquired many industry publications over the years and started subsidiaries including TechTarget and the GasBuddy app.

Levenson is an active philanthropist who has poured a lot of resources into programs for young people, including Hoop Dreams and the “I Have a Dream” Foundation, both of which are targeted at raising scholarship funds for inner city children. He also is a contributor and long Time supporter of the Holocaust Memorial Museum, including establishing the “Bringing the Lessons Home” program that teaches young people all about the Holocaust and allows them to become tour guides at the museum. He is also a member of several Jewish activist organizations including SEED Foundation, Birthright Israel and Seeds of Peace.
